CranioSacral Therapy (CST) developed by osteopathic physician John E. Upledger following extensive research between 1975 and 1983. Using a soft touch, generally no more than 5 gms of pressure, or about the weight of a nickel, restrictions in the craniosacral system are released improving the function of the central nervous system. During a session your body relaxes deeply as you gently release from within. (Adapted from www.upledger.com ) |

Myofascial Release (MFR) is a gentle technique which focuses on releasing the fascial tissue so muscles and tendons move more freely underneath the skin and surrounding tissue. The fascial tissue connects the tissues of the skin, muscle and tendons. Fascia also lines the belly and keeps organs separate. Trauma to the body creates scar tissue which constricts movement of the muscles and organs. |

Prenatal Massage incorporates specific techniques to address the shifting changing shape of a pregnant body. Long flowing strokes relax a pregnant woman and allow her to become present with herself and her growing baby. An added benefit is the mother will be shown ways to make herself more comfortable at home with pillows and props. This will assist in more full rest at night, especially important in the month leading up to the birth. A perfect gift for the mother and baby during gestation! |

Sports Massage incorporates gentle stretching, pressing , relaxing and stretching again of specific muscles in each joint to bring relaxation to those places where your body has a pattern of holding. At each major joint all the individual muscles are attended in this way to bring a deep relaxation to the joint that spreads throughout the body during a session. Sarah-Elizabeth incorporates her knowledge of the muscular and skeletal systems to address the shoulder, hips, low back, knee, hand, elbow, foot and more. If you bring a tight muscle to her attention, she will find a way to help you release the tightness which will both decrease your pain and increase your range of motion (ROM). |
